What is the purpose of the Fredericksburg Area Lodging & Hospitality Association? - FAL&HA was created to provide an open forum whereby lodging and hospitality business owners and the Fredericksburg community could communicate on a common plane in an effort to improve the City Of Fredericksburg Texas.

Why must FAL&HA Members attend 50% of the meetings to be able to bid on FAL&HA web site front page advertising? - Since the purpose of FAL&HA is to actively involve the lodging and hospitality owners in the community, it makes good sense that active members, those lodging owners that take the time to be part of the lodging community and contribute their time to attending meetings, should be should be the ones to enjoy some of the benefits of their participation and hard work.

The FAL&HA Web Site Members in good standing are eligible to be listed on the FAL&HA web site. www.FredericksburgAreaLodging.com Members wishing to be listed on the FAL&HA site must first prominently place a reciprocal link to the FAL&HA site on the member's site. Once FAL&HA's link is established and in good working condition the member's information will promptly appear on the FAL&HA site. Linking instructions are below. Photos for the FAL&HA web site... The standard size for photos on the FAL&H site is 200 x 150 pixels. The space inside the black box is 200 x 150 pixels as are most of the pictures on this site. Any picture with the same aspect ratio (I.E. 200/150= 1.333) will work just fine. [400 x 300, 600 x 450, or 800 x 600]. The picture format should be in JPEG format. 1. All web information will be sent to the webmaster, Jeff Holt. Email falandha@gmail.com. 2. All listings will be made alphabetically by category (reservation service, hotel/motel, bed and breakfast and guest house, restaurant and shop). Listings will be rotated periodically based on budget. This process will allow all listings to have the number one spot during the course of rotation. 3. Member listing information on the web site: All information must be completed in order to be listed in the primary member listing area. If there is missing information, such as: photo, phone numbers, 50 word description etc. The listing will simply show name and web link (if provided).

Bidding for front page ads on the web site... Every two months there is an auction for the ads on the front page of the FAL&HA Web site at the FAL&HA meeting where bids are placed in one of four envelopes marked: Hotels/Motels Reservation Services Hosted B & B's Guest Houses, Non-hosted B & B's The envelopes will be opened following the meeting and the highest bid for each category will receive the right to fill an ad. Winners will be notified by a FAL&H officer and billed for the amount of their winning bid. To be eligible to bid on an ad you must be an active member of FAL&HA in good standing, be current with your dues, and have attended 50% of the meetings during your current membership period. Bids can only be placed in person therefore you must be present at the meetings to bid. The ads will consist of a picture or logo and a link to your Web site. All of the revenue from the ads will be used to enhance and promote the FAL&HA Web site on the internet.

Policy for Ads on the "Things To Do" Page...   Ads can be sold to local Fredericksburg area businesses with relevancy to the lodging industry, ex. restaurants, attractions, cultural events.  Size of ads allowed and charges to be determined.
